Michelle is a member of the dragonboat team Empire Dragons NYC and works as a Research Ecologist with the USDA Forest Service. She has also been a supporting member of the FED UP Coalition on behalf of Empire Dragons NYC. She joined Guardians of Flushing Bay because of the care she has for Flushing Bay and because of the intersectional way that Guardians advocates for community and place. She is a resident of Astoria, Queens which is part of the Bowery Bay sewershed connected to Flushing Bay.
