James is an East Elmhurst resident who has enjoyed biking on the bay promenade since his late elementary school years. He has been active in several organizing initiatives around the city including the Better Way to LGA Coalition, the Western Queens Community Land Trust, and the Abolish NYC Tax Lien Sale Coalition. James currently works in local government with a focus on Queens and previously worked as a teacher for five years and an organizer with Queens Distance Runners.
